Dr. Erik Hiester, M.S., D.O., Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Hiester is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Pain Management, by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Upstate Medical University and visiting professor in the Binghamton University Biomedical Engineering department. Dr. Hiester is a regular contributor to e-medicine publications and is involved in clinical research investigating the relationship between plantar stimulation and fibromyalgia.
Dr. Hiester received a Bachelor and Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Miami and worked as a research and development engineer for Schneider Worldwide in Miami, Florida from 1996 – 1998. He then attended the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences where he received a Doctor of Osteopathic medicine degree. He completed a residency in family medicine in Binghamton, New York and a fellowship in interventional pain medicine at Emory Medical School in Atlanta, Georgia.
